Dawat-e-Islami began in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1981, founded by Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri. It describes itself as a global, non-political Islamic organisation working to spread the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, guided by the mission statement “I must strive to reform myself and the people of the entire world.”
The Australian branch runs religious education and gatherings at centres around the country, and its Melbourne address is on Mahoneys Road in Reservoir.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
