Monash Mosque has operated since 1994 from an old weatherboard house at 16 Beddoe Avenue in Clayton, on land owned by Monash University. More than a thousand Muslim students and staff use it for prayers, along with Muslims living around the City of Monash.
The Islamic Association of Monash Mosque runs it, and Monash City Council has approved plans for a new purpose-built mosque on the same site.
