Kampung Utara Melbourne began in 2009 with informal weekly classes held in members’ homes, giving newly arrived Malay families a support network in Melbourne’s north. It was incorporated in April 2016 and now has a centre on Zakwell Court in Coolaroo.
Most members have Malaysian or Singaporean backgrounds. Activities are grouped around mind, body and soul: self-improvement and vocational courses, youth development, religious classes, sport and family recreation.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
