ICCV, the Islamic Co-ordinating Council of Victoria, certifies, monitors and supervises halal food for both domestic and export markets from its base on Howes Street, Airport West. Clients include abattoirs, food processors, raw material manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and transport and cold storage operators.
Its certification is recognised in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states, and it is accredited by the federal Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Certification is overseen by Muslim scholars with traditional Islamic credentials, and an external committee reviews its processes.
