The United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia (UICCA) was founded in 1987 and first met in rented houses, classrooms and community centres. Building work on a two-acre site in Campbellfield began in 1990, and the community centre opened in October 1992.
The site has since been rebuilt with a larger masjid and an education centre. Teaching follows the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat tradition, with youth Qur’an classes, adult classes after Fajr, and family fun days and fetes run by volunteers.
