The United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia formed in 1987, meeting first in rented rooms and community halls. Construction began on a two-acre site in Mason Street in 1990, and the centre opened in October 1992. It has since been rebuilt with a larger masjid and an education centre, teaching the aqeedah of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.
Youth Qur’an classes run twice a week after school and adult classes follow Fajr on Tuesdays. Imams conduct nikah and shahada ceremonies, and the mosque holds family fun days and fetes.
