Australian Halal Authority & Advisers (AHAA) has been certifying businesses since 2009 from its office on Dargie Court, Dallas. It works with companies of all sizes, in Australia and overseas, and covers endorsement, certification, auditing and ongoing monitoring.
Certification starts with an application and product data sheets. AHAA’s food technologists assess each product, the premises is audited, and a certificate is issued once halal requirements are met. The body says its standards follow guidelines accepted across the Islamic schools of thought, and it certifies for markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, the UAE and Qatar. It also offers halal training.
