Ararat Islamic Welfare Association Inc. brings together Muslims in Ararat, the regional city on the Western Highway between Ballarat and the Grampians. The association is working towards its own centre, and donations go to building it and to its ongoing running costs.
Volunteering and fundraising events are the main ways locals can help, and the association says its financial records are open to anyone who asks.
