The University of Melbourne Islamic Society (UMIS) represents Muslim students at the university and oversees the upkeep of its campus musallahs, including this one on Little Pelham Street, Carlton. UMIS also organises the weekly Jummah prayer.
Beyond prayer, the society runs events such as a large Grand Iftar, educational seminars and workshops, social gatherings, and awareness campaigns on humanitarian causes. It speaks for Muslim students in dealings with university leadership.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
