In 2015 the SBS documentary series Kebab Kings went behind the counter at this Collingwood shop, then run by Australian-Indian Muslim couple Mustafa and Zareena, following the late-night trade on one of Melbourne’s busiest inner-city streets.
Kebabs filled with lamb or chicken and halal snack packs make up the menu, with falafel and gozleme also on the menu at its sister shops. There are more Smith Kebabs on Exhibition Street in the CBD and on Chapel Street, Prahran.
