Charcoal-grilled shish kebabs are the main event at Shish Delish, a halal Turkish food stall in The Pantry section of Dandenong Market. Each kebab is made to order and rolled in freshly made Turkish bread with your pick of salad and sauce. Adana kebabs and pide are on the menu too.
For something lighter there’s gözleme, filled with chicken or with spinach and feta and finished with a squeeze of lemon. The stall buys its fresh ingredients from the market around it, one of Melbourne’s oldest, trading since 1866.
