Reyhoon takes its name from the Persian word for basil, and its kitchen at 118a James Street, Templestowe, sticks to Persian kebabs. Koobideh, skewers of lamb and beef mince, come either with rice, grilled tomato and capsicum or wrapped in flatbread with salad and sauce.
Tikka and chicken thigh skewers fill out the menu, and family packs bring the lot together with rice, salad and cucumber yoghurt for a shared meal at home.
