Since 2008, Qurban Foundation has arranged qurban, aqiqah and sadaqah distribution on behalf of donors, working together with Madina Halal Meats Australia. A network of contacts carries out the slaughter and delivers the meat to needy people in remote areas of poor countries.
The foundation says it follows the Sharia requirements closely: an animal of the correct age, the proper method of slaughter, the right timeframe, and distribution to the poorest recipients. Its office is on Sydney Road in Brunswick.
