Iranian immigrants founded Persian Halal Butchery & Grocery to bring the halal meats and groceries of home to Melbourne. The Jackson Court store in Doncaster East is one of two branches, the other being on Station Street in Box Hill North.
The butcher counter sells halal meats including marinated cuts, and the grocery shelves carry Persian staples alongside Middle Eastern and South Asian goods. The same family, the Persian Najib Group, is also behind the Persian Halal Restaurant.
