Factory 4 on Bakers Road, Coburg North, is one of Nasiba’s two Melbourne stores, and the place to try on pieces from a label many shoppers know online.
The business grew from fabric offcuts. In the early 1970s Amne and Hussein began making hijabs and Islamic dresses after arriving in Australia, opened a shop as demand grew, and founded Nasiba in 1993. Their three daughters run it now. Expect chiffon, modal and jersey hijabs, abayas, linen shirts and trousers, coats and prayer sets, including the Mahabba collection made in memory of Amne.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
