Masjid ar-Rahmah, the “Mosque of Mercy”, was the first masjid project started by the Sri Lankan Muslim community in Australia. The Australian Sri Lankan Association (ASLA) was incorporated in 2013 to build it, and the Ravenhall Masjid & Community Centre opened on Eucumbene Drive in November 2022 after six years of work.
Daily and Friday prayers are held, and a maktab runs for children. ASLA plans social, educational and welfare programs, interfaith events and a youth library at the centre.
