Martabak, the stuffed Indonesian street-food pancake, is the reason to visit this Lygon Street shop. Martabak Pecenongan says it has around 400 outlets in Indonesia, cooks its pancakes fresh in the traditional way, and describes its food as homemade and halal.
It shares the space with Rojo Sambel, whose sambel cobek bakar, a stone-grilled sambal, comes with smoked duck or chicken. A second branch is on Buckingham Avenue in Springvale.
