Sisters Tasia and Gracia Seger won My Kitchen Rules in 2016, spent the next couple of years cooking at private dinners and events around Australia, then opened Makan, their first restaurant, in 2018. Born in Indonesia and raised in India and Australia, they cook modern Indonesian food with punchy, spicy flavours.
The beef rendang follows a recipe handed down from their mother and grandmother. Makan means “to eat” in Indonesian, and the Collins Way dining room takes bookings for lunch and dinner.
