An Ottoman-style building with a central dome and twin minarets marks the Keysborough Turkish Islamic and Cultural Centre on Greens Road. The non-profit association behind it (KTICC) was established in 1977 to serve Melbourne’s Turkish and wider Muslim community.
The grounds hold the mosque, a multi-purpose hall, classrooms, soccer fields and parking, with Mt Hira College, a primary and secondary school, next door. Programs include Qur’an and language classes, youth mentoring, groups for women and elders, seminars and sport. There are prayer spaces for both men and women.
