The Islamic Education and Welfare Association of Dandenong (IEWAD) began almost two decades ago, when a founding group set up its first prayer space. Today its centre at 131-133 Belgrave-Hallam Road, Narre Warren North, is a place for prayer, learning and welfare work.
Volunteers run a Sunday school, classes, dawah and welfare programs, and the association helps communities locally and overseas where it can. It also offers the services of a Muslim marriage celebrant and a Justice of the Peace. IEWAD is a registered Muslim religious body.
