The Turkish Cultural and Community Centre of Mooroopna, owned by the Turkish Islamic Society, was founded in 1986 and opened about two years later. It serves Muslim families across the Goulburn Valley, just over the river from Shepparton.
The 400 m² centre holds up to 200 worshippers at a time, with a separate area for women. There are ablution facilities, a kitchen, an office and a hall that can be used for community events.
