Iqra Islamic Clothing and Books opened in 2019 to give Muslim communities in Melbourne’s western suburbs a local source of Islamic products, and it now also sells online to customers around Australia and overseas.
The range is broad. Women’s clothing covers abayas, niqabs and chiffon and jersey hijabs; men’s includes Omani thobes and ihram for Hajj and Umrah. There are more than a hundred books, from hadith collections to children’s stories of the Prophet, plus oil-based perfumes, Qur’an stands, azan clocks, Zam Zam water, Ajwa dates and Ramadan and Eid decorations.
