Each month Halal Food Bank Melbourne packs halal, nutritionally balanced food for people who need it: families in financial hardship, people escaping domestic and family violence or another crisis, refugees and people seeking asylum.
It is entirely volunteer-run and depends on community donations. Volunteers can sign up to give a few hours a month, and organisations whose clients would benefit from food boxes can register to refer them. The logo, by a local Australian artist, shows two hands clasped in support. It is based on Amcor Way in Campbellfield.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
