Pempek, the Indonesian fish cakes, have been Famili Ria’s specialty since it opened in 2013, and the restaurant says it was the first in Melbourne to focus on them.
Noodle and rice dishes also appear on the menu alongside the fish cakes. You’ll find it on Riversdale Road in Surrey Hills, in Melbourne’s east, with dine-in and takeaway.
