Drive-thru service is the draw at this El Jannah on High Street, Preston, near the Bell Street intersection and a short trip from Preston Market. There’s onsite parking too, for anyone who’d rather eat in.
The halal chicken is cooked over charcoal and comes with El Jannah’s garlic toum, as it has since the first shop opened in Granville, Sydney, in 1998. Hand-breaded fried chicken, falafel rolls and dips fill out the menu, and the shop delivers to Northcote, Thornbury and the surrounding suburbs.
