Darul Hikmah Australia runs makaatib, after-school classes that teach children the basics of the deen, in Fawkner and Craigieburn. The model takes inspiration from the Talimi Board of Jamiatul Ulama KZN in South Africa.
Beyond the maktab, the non-profit offers a girls’ hifz course, full-time and holiday hifz, separate Quran classes for brothers and sisters, a weekly youth program for boys and Saturday Islamic classes. Sisters can attend tafsir, hadith and balaghah classes in Urdu, onsite or online.
Please mention that you found them on Melbourne Local Guide.
