High Street, Northcote is among the homes of Cuppa Turca, the Turkish dessert shop Harun Yalcin started in 2017 after leaving his job as a Cappadocia tour guide.
Two things lead the menu. Künefe is made on order with shredded kataifi pastry, a special stretchy cheese, pistachios from Antep and plain sugar syrup. Dondurma, the stretchy Turkish ice cream, uses a goat’s milk base and comes in many flavours, with vegan choices too.
