Halal meals are on the menu at Busy Bees Wyndham Vale, prepared to recipes developed by paediatric dietitians, which makes mealtimes simple for Muslim families. The McGrath Road centre cares for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and its kindergarten group takes the three- and four-year-olds.
Older children head outdoors in the Bush Kinder program to learn about Australian plants and animals. Auslan sign language is taught, First Nations perspectives are part of daily learning, and guest experts visit with rotating activities. The Busy Bees group dates back to a single centre opened in 1983.
