Founded in Sydney in 2003, Behind the Veil was a response to how hard it was to find stylish Islamic clothing. Its store is on Waterloo Road in Greenacre, and the full range is available through its online shop.
Garments are lined, and the collection runs from linen and ruched-bodice dresses to a Palestinian embroidered abaya. Hijabs come in herringbone bamboo and modal, and there are jilbabs, caps, scarves and prayer sets.
