Bosnian Muslims, many of whom came to Australia after conflict in the Balkans, founded this centre to carry on an Islamic tradition that reached Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Ottomans in the 15th century. That heritage follows the Hanafi school.
The Station Road centre in Albanvale, near Deer Park, is used for prayer, learning and community gatherings. It serves Bosnian families and the wider Muslim community, and anyone curious about Islam or Bosnian culture is welcome.
