Al Nawab’s St Kilda branch on Fitzroy Street cooks Pakistani and North Indian food, with much of the meat grilled over charcoal. Tandoori skewers, slow-cooked karahi and naan from the oven are the dishes to order.
The beach is at the bottom of Fitzroy Street, and the restaurant works for a quick lunch, a family dinner or a takeaway after a day by the water. Al Nawab also has a restaurant on Bridge Road, Richmond.
