Al-Muntada Australia runs a mosque on Barry Road, Coolaroo, with separate prayer areas for men and women, a library and plenty of parking. Each of the daily prayers is held in congregation, and there is a sermon every Friday.
Children and adults can join Qur’an programs, and kids have language and religious classes. The mosque handles funerals including ghusl, janazah and burial arrangements, conducts nikah and child naming ceremonies, and distributes zakat. Its indoor soccer field can be hired, and iftars and Eid events run through the year.
