Charcoal-grilled kebabs are the main draw at Afghan Master Kebab, which has been cooking on Devonshire Road in Sunshine since 2014. Every meat plate comes with house pickles.
Beyond the grill, the menu covers Afghan home cooking: lamb shank with rice topped with carrots and sultanas, lamb and chicken curries, okra cooked with vegetables, dumplings filled with minced lamb under a yoghurt sauce, and kaleh pacheh for those who want the traditional slow-cooked sheep’s head and trotters. Grilled fish is on offer too, and plates come with Afghan bread, salad and chakni dip.
Expect a casual room set up for families.
