Elias Abdallah and his brothers Sami and Azar run this Lonsdale Street business, following their grandparents into Lebanese baking. What started as a bakery has grown into a bakery, café and supermarket, also known as A1 Bakery.
Fresh bread, pastries and traditional sweets come out of the ovens, while the shelves carry Middle Eastern pantry goods such as zaatar, rose water, olive oil, tahini, pomegranate molasses, nougat and baklava. The bakery also caters for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations.
