A1 Bakery started in 1992 as a small family-run Lebanese bakery at 643-645 Sydney Road, and this Brunswick store is still its flagship. By 1997 demand for its bread had grown enough to open a dedicated plant supplying Melbourne.
The menu covers zaatar and cheese manoush, Lebanese pizzas, pies, falafel, wraps and platters, all made fresh daily. Shelves hold Middle Eastern groceries such as zaatar, olives, tahini, pickles and sweets, and catering is available for parties and office lunches with a day’s notice.
